What are the specifics of formal attire for the wedding day?

Summer formal. We created visual references for you and explained the dress code for both nights in more detail for you. Please read and see more on the dedicated page.

Are children or teens welcome?

Your children are welcome at our wedding, we love all of your kids. But our wedding events: welcome dinner and wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only. Please let us know if you're bringing your child and if you will need childcare. We will help source an appropriate solution.

Do I need an international driving license to rent a car?

EU/EEA driving licences are valid in Italy without any special permit. Non-EU licences are valid only for visitors, and an International Driving Permit is requested. Please check here for more info: https://internationaldrivingpermit.org/country/italy/

Are there private transfer options available?

Yes, there are private transfer services you can book in advance. Please visit our "Getting There" page for more info. We recommend securing your private transfers ahead of time.

Do I need to obtain a visa to travel to Italy?

No visa is required for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Travel is permitted for tourism, business, family visits, or events. A valid passport is required, with at least 3 months’ validity beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen Area. If you need to apply for a passport, or renew it, please do it sooner than later, as rush fee can be costly.

Can we take photos and videos?

Photos and videos are encouraged :) We're so excited to make memories in such a beautiful place with all our friends and family. Please note: We will ask for you to limit phone usage during the ceremony.

How hot is it going to be?

The average high is 90 degrees Fahrenheit and 32 degrees Celsius. Average lows are usually around 63 degrees Fahrenheit and 17 degrees Celsius. All accommodations have pools and the countryside tends to be breezier and more enjoyable than landlocked Rome, for example.

What can I expect at the ceremony?

The ceremony will be under 30 minutes and will be a mix of religious and non-religious rituals that are important to the couple. They were legally married at the New York City courthouse ahead of our celebration earlier this season.

Who can I contact if my travel is delayed or I miss a shuttle?

Our planners team will be at your disposal. Please write an email to info@danielalyssawedding.com Closer to date, a direct phone number will be provided.

Can I drive myself to the venue?

There is parking at Il Borgo di Vignamaggio available for daytime and nighttime events. If you are driving, be sure to type in the full name of the venue (Il Borgo di Vignamaggio) into your maps. Vignamaggio owns multiple properties (a winery, restaurant) in the area and winding roads make re-routing a more timely endeavor.

Is there an event on Sunday?

There is no formal brunch or farewell event on Sunday after the wedding. We encourage you to say your goodbyes Saturday evening before departing.
